/ Overview

The backbone of process & energy piping

Carbon steel pipe is the workhorse of the oil & gas, refining, power and water industries. AAM Steel supplies the full range — ASTM A106 (seamless, high-temperature), A53 (seamless & ERW, general service), API 5L line pipe (Gr B and X42–X80, PSL1/PSL2), and A333 for low-temperature and cryogenic duty — with full mill traceability.

Choose A106 Gr B for temperature-rated process lines, API 5L for pipelines and line pipe, and A333 Gr 6 where impact toughness at low temperature is required. For the Gulf's sour-gas fields we supply NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 compliant, HIC-tested, controlled-hardness material. Every pipe ships seamless or ERW, in the schedule you specify, with 3.1 / 3.2 certification.

/ FAQ

Carbon steel pipe — common questions

What is the difference between seamless and ERW pipe?
Seamless pipe is pierced and drawn from a solid billet with no weld seam — uniform strength for high-pressure/temperature service. ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) pipe is formed from strip and welded along its length — more economical, widely used for lower-pressure and structural applications.
What is ASTM A106 Grade B pipe used for?
A106 Gr B is a seamless carbon steel pipe for high-temperature service — process piping, refineries, boilers and power plants. It's the standard choice where A53 isn't temperature-rated.
What standards and grades do you supply?
ASTM A106 (Gr A/B/C), A53 (Type E/S, Gr A/B), API 5L (Gr B, X42–X80, PSL1/PSL2) and A333 (Gr 6) — seamless & ERW, SCH 40 to XXS, with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certificates.
Do you supply NACE MR0175 sour-service pipe?
Yes — NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 compliant, HIC-tested, controlled-hardness carbon steel pipe with hardness surveys and 3.1/3.2 certification.
