Line pipe & OCTG — common questions

What is API 5L line pipe?
API 5L is the specification for line pipe transporting oil, gas and water — grades from A/B up to X42, X52, X60, X65, X70 and X80, in PSL1 (standard) and PSL2 (stricter chemistry, testing and traceability for critical service).
What is the difference between PSL1 and PSL2?
PSL2 adds tighter controls — carbon equivalent limits, mandatory Charpy impact testing, NDT and full traceability. PSL2 is for higher-pressure, sour or critical pipelines; PSL1 is for general service.
What is OCTG?
Oil Country Tubular Goods — casing and tubing to API 5CT (J55, K55, N80, L80, P110, Q125) used to line and produce oil & gas wells. Sour wells use restricted grades such as L80, C90 and T95.
Do you supply coated and sour-service line pipe?
Yes — with 3LPE, 3LPP, FBE, internal epoxy and concrete weight coatings, and NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 sour-service, HIC-tested material, with full API and EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certification.
