Ductile Iron Pipe — Water & Sewage

Cement-mortar-lined ductile iron pipe and fittings for municipal water and sewage networks. EN 545 (potable water), EN 598 (sewage), ISO 2531 and AWWA C151 — in C- and K-pressure classes with push-on, flanged and restrained joints.

Ductile iron water pipe
/ Overview

The backbone of municipal water networks

Ductile iron pipe combines the strength and ductility needed for buried water and sewage mains with long service life. AAM Steel supplies pipe and fittings to EN 545 (potable water), EN 598 (sewage) and ISO 2531 / AWWA C151, internally cement-mortar lined (CML) and externally coated.

Choose the pressure class to suit the network — C25 to C100 (or legacy K7/K9/K12 wall classes) — with push-on (Tyton), mechanical, flanged and restrained joints, plus matching ductile iron fittings, valves and couplings.

/ Grades & standards

Classes & joints

Pressure class C40–C100

Wall/pressure class to suit the network duty.

K-class K7 / K9 / K12

Legacy wall-class designation.

Push-on (Tyton) & mechanical

Fast, flexible buried-main joints.

Flanged & restrained

Above-ground & thrust-restrained runs.

/ FAQ

Common questions

What standards cover ductile iron pipe?
EN 545 (potable water), EN 598 (sewage), ISO 2531 and AWWA C151. Fittings follow EN 545/598 and AWWA C110/C153.
What are C-class and K-class?
They are pressure/wall-thickness classes. Modern EN 545 uses pressure classes (e.g. C40, C64, C100); the older system used K-classes (K7, K9, K12) based on wall thickness.
What joints are available?
Push-on (Tyton), mechanical, flanged and restrained joints, with matching ductile iron fittings and flexible couplings.
Where can I buy ductile iron pipe in the GCC?
AAM Steel supplies ductile iron pipe, fittings and couplings across Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia for water and sewage projects. Send your DN, class and joint type for a quote.
